Being in Selflove with Someone

What is your purpose for ever participating in a romantic relationship?

What exactly is a romantic relationship to you?

What is intimacy in a romantic relationship?

Do you agree that all other relationships are reflections of various aspects of the self-relationship? Have you ever thought about why romantic relationships seem to be the most challenging?

In my experience, all external relationships are like a mirror that reflects our beliefs, fears, desires, judgments, Love, joy, insecurities, etc. Romantic relationships are the most challenging mirrors because they tend to reflect the deepest and most intimate version of what’s inside of us. The more you struggle with various aspects of yourself, the more you will likely struggle in a romantic relationship. I invite you to consider this, since your partner in a romantic relationship serves as an intimate mirror to you, this type of relationship is best experienced when you don’t mistreat the mirror because you don’t like the reflection.

Both participants serve as a mirror providing an opportunity for one another to practice Loving whatever is being reflected, no matter what appears. To Love every reflection is simply to be aware that it’s not the mirror you’re looking at, instead, it’s an aspect of yourself, then embrace it with understanding rather than judgment.

So, take responsibility for what you see and be grateful for the invaluable opportunity to see it. There is no separation between you and what you see when you look at your partner. Remember this, always treat them as such, and you will experience the highest-level of romantic relationship yet. Consider going beyond being in Love and experience being in Selflove with someone.

Peace & Selflove. Gratitude!
